That’s…not how this works.

We thought…why just torture our friends by explaining how different scenes in movies would or wouldn’t work when we could share the fun with everyone!

The Hosts

Ana “Vee” Visneski

Ana started life causing disasters, according to her Mom. It was only after she joined the Coast Guard that she learned to respond to them instead of just being one. She spent 12 years in uniform as a Search and Rescue operator and Public Affairs Officer responding to Hurricane Katrina, the BP oil spill, bridge collapses, plane crashes, vessel collisions, and other disasters. In 2016 she hung up her uniform and went on to work at AWS, where she ran launch operations and created the critical event protocol for AWS Marketing. Since those weren’t big enough disasters for her, she joined the AWS Disaster Response teamas the Principal, Disaster Response. She got to combine her nerd love of new technology with her knowledge from the Coast Guard. In 2021 she started her own crisis management and disaster response technology consulting company Merewif. She also teaches Crisis Communication at the University of Washington.

Ana has a Master of Communication Digital Media and a Master of Communication in Communities and Networks. If she isn’t working she probably has her nose in a book, or is trying to keep up with the demands of the family dogs- Pixel, Z, and Morrigan.

Brandon “Rev” Wentz

Rev was raised on comic books and video games. You’re probably thinking what an awful thing to feed a child and you’re right, just look how he turned out. He started playing video games at the age of 6, reading comics at 10, and playing his first RPG (Earth Dawn) at 16. He holds a Master’s degree in acting from the University of Georgia, and is a jack of all trades when it comes to the performing arts. You may recognize Rev’s (or Brandon, if you wanna use his muggle name) voice from some of his work with EarPlay, where he is a voice over artist and casting director working on projects for such intellectual properties as Jurassic World, Mr. Robot, and Pugmire (all available on Alexa, if you’re into that kind of thing).

When not working on podcasts or doing other voice-related projects, Rev can be found on PBS where he co-hosts the bi-monthly show Journey Indiana; but mostly he hangs out with me, his dog Harvey, who for some reason he decided to teach to type. I think it’s just that he really hated writing bios… but, he keeps me in cuddles and greenies, so it’s a fair trade off.
